YTL Cement and the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) have jointly launched the country’s first University-Industry Research Consortium, in collaboration with five top local universities: Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, Universiti Malaysia Sabah dan Universiti Malaysia Sarawak.

The Kedah Department of Environment, alongside Rakan Alam Sekitar (RAS), celebrated Hari Alam Sekitar Negara 2023 (HASN 2023) at Jerumuk Island. The event is a collective commitment towards fostering community awareness and responsibility in preserving and conserving Langkawi’s marine ecosystem through a coral rack planting activity.

We collaborated with Kolej Vokasional Kuala Kangsar (KVKK) to organise a host of activities in conjuction with HASN 2023 which was officiated by the Perak Department of Environment (DOE) Director. The event was aimed at fostering environmental awareness and combating environmental pollution, as well as empowering students and the Perak community to embrace a sustainable lifestyle. The event included a recycling donation drive where a total of 5,279 kg of materials collected from the Perak community. The proceeds from the sale of the recyclables were channelled to KVKK for future environmental.

KUALA LUMPUR, 18 April 2023 – The Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT) together with The Cement and Concrete Association of Malaysia (C&CA) and private housing developers today, introduced a new initiative known as the Simen Rahmah Scheme for the development of affordable homes. This new initiative will involve affordable homes that costs RM 300,000.00 and below, targeted at the B40 and M40 groups.

YTL Cement bersama Jabatan Alam Sekitar Putrajaya telah berjaya mengutip lebih dari 200 kg sampah melalui Program Kutip Sampah Sambil Riadah (KUDAH) sempena Hari Alam Sekitar Sedunia 2022 di Chongkak Park & Resort, Hulu Langat, Selangor.

YTL Cement bersama Jabatan Alam Sekitar Negeri Perak telah berjaya mengumpul sejumlah 333 kg sampah, menanam 100 pokok, dan menjalankan ujian air sungai in-situ di Sungai Dipang, Kampar, Perak sempena sempena Hari Alam Sekitar Negara 2022 di Sahom Valley, Kampar, Perak.

In April 2021, BUILDS has distributed 7,000 COVID-19 Care Kits and donated essential cleaning equipment to students and teachers from 24 schools across Peninsula Malaysia.

In December 2020, BUILDS has contributed approximately RM650,000 to Pertubuhan ‘Perak Food Bank’ Kinta Perak, in support of their efforts to provide food security for the people of the state.
